From the first American in Space to the commander of the first mission around the Moon, to the first and last shuttle mission commanders, Naval Aviators have played a significant role in space exploration. The Cocoa Beach Air Show is the capstone event of Air, Sea and Space Week in Brevard County. Accessible to the general public for the first time in more than 30
years, NASA's Vehicle Assembly is now opening its doors as part of the
new KSC Up-Close tour. But only for a LIMITED TIME. So now's your
chance to marvel at one the world's largest buildings by volume that
houses even bigger history. *KSC Up-Close tour is an additional charge over the general admission included in the combo ticket.
The 920th Rescue
Wing locally based at Patrick Air Force Base will showcase their unique
skills and multi-faceted mission at the event. In addition to their
role as a search and rescue wing for both military and civilian disaster
relief operations. The 920th supports all NASA/USAF launch operations.
