B-1 Bomber to tear up the skies in Cocoa Beach!

The U.S. Air Force just confirmed the  B-1 Bomber will fly at the Cocoa Beach Air Show!  Nicknamed the “Bone”, the swept-wing supersonic long-range bomber is like watching the world’s largest fighter jet. Its four after-burning engines produce a combined thrust of over 120,000 pounds, the equivalent of four F-16s.  They push this 500,000 pound behemoth to top speeds of mach 1.25!  You can see the B-1 showcase some of its capabilities over Cocoa Beach on April 17-18!

The B1 will be out there both days of the show! Show program kicks off at 11:45am and runs until about 2:30/3:00pm both days.

We figured that’s what you meant! 😉 There’s not a B2 Bomber at this time, but stay tuned here and on our Facebook pages on any last minute performer additions.

You might be able to see some of the planes, but probably not the whole show.

You might be able to see some of the planes out and about, but unlikely to see the bulk of the show, since show center is down at Lori Wilson Park.

You might be able to see some across the river – Air Show center is at Lori Wilson Park, so you will at least likely see some planes overhead at some point in the afternoons of Saturday and Sunday.
